This is the excessively moody personality. It is described as a personality that oscillates on the borderline between neurosis and psychosis; it is therefore also known as the borderline personality (between the two extremes).
The borderline personality is characterised by a marked instability in emotions, mood, behaviour and self-perception; furthermore, its impulsive nature makes it difficult to predict how the individual might react.
